Conquering the Heavens - by Elobo

Conquering the Heavens

They held sway over nature and thus over our lives. The sacred land Dalaam was sealed behind a wall of rock, mortals were not allowed to enter. We were trapped, with an increasingly dwindling ration of rain to get us by. Our provinces grew desperate, feudal war erupted across the land. We were trying to appease the two gods that tormented us so, at any cost, to become their sole favour. When they commissioned their garments, staff, and blade, one man instead stole away into the night with them. Armed only with his own conviction and introspection, he arrived at the gate and fought his way through the demon hordes. The gods raged, the world shook. They came down to the surface to punish him, but he did not fight. With a mystic key, disguised as a carrot to appear unspectacular, an imprisoning spell was released, binding them to the planet and trapping their rage. His staff soaked in the power of the heavens, which he would refine and use as the Star Master. Thunder and Storm were quelled, though they can be still felt whenever their bouts of rage peak.

Elobo The Trial that Divided Twoson
I know kidnapping is wrong, I know it. I always try to be careful not to kidnap anyone. But... it's not as easy as it sounds... I was just heading to Burglin Park for some seasonings to add to my food at meal times – I collect the cute little packets and jars, you know. But have you ever been in a crowded park before? It's like the first day at work on a new diet, and someone's brought a box of your favourite doughnuts. Before I knew it, I had taken three hostages and was getting my ransom letter notarized. That's how they caught me, you know.

Elobo The Daily Grind
Nothing exciting ever happens here. Sure, Ruffini's spirit medium skills were fun... for maybe a month. But who wants to know you're just part of a game? Who wants your mortality and lack of autonomy spelled out for you by a little white dog? It's sobering, it's humbling. It's depressing. And I know I'm doomed to stand here every day selling the same old stuff to the same four kids because that's my lot in life and I know it and I hate it. I just can't wait to go home and sleep and dream of a world where I'm the master of my destiny. Ha, not even that. Nighttime is just a convenient illusion for the "player."

Elobo The Window at Freshmart
This is the window of a Freshmart located in Ingonish, Nova Scotia. Don't shop there guys, everything costs double to take advantage of tourists. But the window caught my eye because it the 'seagull' looked an awful lot like a Mad Duck. So we can imagine the person watching is a young Tessie Watcher. Forum user daxxglax wondered if the golfer was Picky - certainly could be! Also, Loid is out riding bikes. The last panel on the left is a tricky one - it's either Minnie walking Ninten's Dog, or the Dog Possesed by the Spirit of the Game Designer picking up chicks in the park. Alright, I guess that one's pushing it ;).

Elobo Desperation
Our consciousness streams inwards, crushing itself. Our mind barely has strength enough to stitch this world together anymore. It tears apart at the seam. The dark recesses of our mind bleed through. Nightmare tendrils reach down to strangle the colour from our form. We grew overconfident, riding high on the devastation of the guardians. But now, we are simply alone on a pile of battered corpses, they have no more energy to give. Our courage has been rent in twain again and again, and we simply do not have the fortitude for it anymore. All that is left is Desperation. All that is left is to blindly flail at the encroaching nightmares while we cling desperately to the decadence of our memories of former conquest. But we are alone now, courage left us a long time ago.

Elobo Uproarious Upchucking
Our sources say that when the Master Belch takes on too much fly honey, he merely needs to open his mouth and issue forth a river of putrescent barf. The stench is permanent, it's great for decorating the base! And while he uses some of his body mass, he frees himself up for more fly honey and generate a whole host of new minions! (ebfgp 2009)
