[Halloween 2009] "It’s been a year since the humans of this village last called us ‘Monsters,’ and my little ones are getting quite ‘Mondo’ in their own rights now. They’ve invited us to partake in their human rituals, tonight seems to be a night of disguises and gorging… I’ll have to practice moderation with the kids. This human in front of me has coloured his skin, he looks like a corpse. But I can smell life in him, he’s not dead. Why is he resting here… unassuming… eyes closed and not asleep? Does he intend to scare my children? I can’t comprehend these rituals yet." Drawn to be more flouncy than my usual dreck, less horror and less distinct, more childlike and in the spirit of Halloween fun.

Elobo	Scion of Filth	How carelessly refuse is discarded and forgotten in the dark crevasses of the urban wilderness. The tainted overspill of human laziness given shape, given life, given new purpose. Reveling in the filth of the world, gathering it up and making it its own. Serenading the Earth with garbage. And we revile it, a superficial damnation of a creature we see as garbage. Or perhaps it is reviled because it is a reflection of our own waste.
